Frigg, also known as Frigga (Anglo-Saxon) and Friia (Germanic) is the wife of Odin and the mother of Balder. She is known as the “All-Mother” and was the patron of marriage and fertility. Her name survives in English in the word ‘Friday’. The All-Mother is known for her hospitality to small children and it is said that those unfortunate to pass over in their early years are given a strawberry as a token to gain access to the afterlife. As with Freya, Frigg is a Völva, a Norse Witch, a Viking Age practitioner of the form of magic known as ‘Seidr’. The story of Frigg’s son Balder is a prominent one in Norse Mythology and includes the punishment and expulsion of the God Loki.

WytchWood syrup starts with the sap from maple trees grown in central Vermont. The sap is then boiled in the Spring and infused to create a delicious strawberry syrup. Each bottle is hand wax-sealed, blessed, and unlike anything, you have ever experienced. Each and every bottle is represented by a God, Goddess, Pagan Sabbath, or Folklore Icon. They are designed as libations but can be used for anything Kitchen Witch-related as well.
I got this as a Mothers Day gift. She’s gonna LOVE it!!
The syrup is delicious. I expected the strawberry to be perhaps a bit oppressive but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a little tart and sweet and deep.
And it paired perfectly with bourbon.
AMAZING!
Bought for a friend for Christmas and I’m really regretting not getting more for myself.
With WytchWood or strawberry! Perfectly sweet and a wonderful flavor for that late spring/early summer air!
Great Flavor, Quick Delivery
I loved how fresh and plentiful the fruit flavor was! It was like liquid jelly that tastes AMAZING! I especially like putting it on vanilla ice cream and mixing it with unsweetened coconut milk to make strawberry mylk 🍓✨👌
I got a few syrups for friends and family during the holidays last year and decided to treat myself to this one and I love it! It’s delicious on cinnamon french toast.
From coffee, to cocktails, a spoonful of this makes the heart happy!
I got this as part of a WytchWood box and it's my second-favorite syrup (just behind the Blodeuwedd violet maple syrup). It tastes like fresh strawberries -- sweet and tangy and not like an artificial strawberry flavor. I've used this on pancakes, over ricotta cheese, and in fresh lemonades. May have to snap up another bottle soon!
